Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2025 Central 2026-03-19 Regulatory Laws It shall apply to all electrical appliance intended for household, commercial or similar application with rated voltage not exceeding 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances including direct current supplied appliances and battery operated appliances.

(3) It shall not apply to electrical appliances which fall under the scope of any other Quality Control Order issued by the said Act or notified for mandatory Bureau of Indian Standard certification under any other Act.

Telecommunications (Framework to Notify Standards, Conformity Assessment and Certification) Rules, 2025 Central 2025-05-16 Regulatory Laws The objective of these rules is to provide a framework within which the Appropriate Authority may notify standards and conformity assessment measures in respect of any or all aspects specified under section 19 of the Act.

The following shall be exempt from the requirement of conformity assessment under these rules, namely: –

(a) telecommunication equipment imported into India for the purpose of carrying out research and development or demonstration or testing of samples in India or through regulatory sandbox, subject to compliance with relevant rules and procedures for such research, demonstration or testing or regulatory sandbox; and

(b) telecommunication equipment brought into India by a person for personal use in India and that is not otherwise prohibited to be imported or used under the Act or any other law for the time

being in force.

(2) Where a notified standard applies in respect of a telecommunication equipment, recertification of such telecommunication equipment shall not be required in the following cases, namely: –

(a) where the model or brand of such telecommunication equipment is not different in any manner from that certified by the Appropriate Authority; and

(b) where such telecommunication equipment complies with changes to any labelling requirements as notified by the Appropriate Authority from time to time.

Reserve Bank of India (Lending Against Gold and Silver Collateral) Directions, 2025 Central 2025-06-06 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions shall apply, unless specified otherwise, to all loans offered by an RE mentioned below for the purpose of consumption or income generation (including farm credit) where eligible gold or silver collateral is accepted as a collateral security.

(i) Commercial Banks (including Small Finance Banks, Local Area Banks and Regional Rural Banks, but excluding Payments Banks).

(ii) Primary (Urban) Co-operative Banks (UCBs) & Rural Co-operative Banks (RCBs), i.e., State Co-operative Banks (StCBs) and Central Co-operative Banks (CCBs).

(iii) All Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), including Housing Finance Companies (HFCs).

Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (Framework for Resource Adequacy) Regulations, 2025 Central 2025-06-02 Regulatory Laws These Regulations shall extend to the State of Goa and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

These Regulations shall apply to the generating companies, distribution licensees, State Load Despatch Centre, State Transmission Utility, full Open Access Consumers as defined in JERC (Connectivity and Open Access in Intra-State Transmission and Distribution) Regulations, 2017 and amendments thereof and other grid connected entities and stakeholders within areas under the jurisdiction of JERC (Goa & UTs).

Provided that distribution licensees shall consider demand of partial open access consumers while forecasting their demand for RA planning.

Master Direction – Reserve Bank of India (Electronic Trading Platforms)

Directions, 2025

Central 2025-06-16 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions are issued to the entities operating Electronic Trading

Platforms (ETPs) on which transactions in eligible instruments, as defined under these Directions, are contracted.

These Directions shall not apply to an electronic system operated by a

scheduled commercial bank (including a branch of a foreign bank operating in India) or a standalone primary dealer for transactions in eligible instruments wherein the bank or the standalone primary dealer operating the electronic system is the sole quote/price provider and a party to all transactions contracted on the system.

Provided that in respect of such electronic systems, all scheduled

commercial banks and standalone primary dealers shall provide any

report, data and/or information as required by the Reserve Bank and/ or report transaction information to any trade repository or reporting

platform in the format and within the timeframe prescribed, and in the

mode and manner advised.

Reserve Bank of India (Project Finance)

Directions, 2025

Central 2025-10-01 Banking and Forex Laws The provisions of these Directions shall apply to the project finance exposures of the following REs, hereinafter referred to as Lender and collectively as Lender(s), as the context may require:

• All Commercial Banks (including Small Finance Banks but excluding

Payments Banks, Local Area Banks and Regional Rural Banks)

• All Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) (including Housing

Finance Companies)

• All Primary (Urban) Cooperative Banks

• All India Financial Institutions (AIFIs)

These Directions shall not apply to projects where financial closure has been achieved as on the effective date. Such projects shall continue to be guided by the existing prudential guidelines on project finance, which otherwise shall be treated as repealed. However, any resolution of a fresh credit event and/or change in material terms and conditions in the loan contract in such projects, subsequent to the effective date, shall be as per the guidelines contained in these Directions.

Cashless Treatment of Road Accident Victims Scheme, 2025 Central 2025-06-05 Regulatory Laws Any person being a victim of a road accident caused by the use of motor vehicle (“road accident”) on any road, who has sustained injuries requiring hospitalisation, shall be entitled to the benefit of cashless treatment under the Scheme in accordance with these Guidelines.

In this regard, “motor vehicle” shall have the same meaning as defined under sub-section (28) of section 2 of the MV Act, 1988.

A victim of a road accident shall be entitled to cashless treatment for an amount for such period as specified in the Scheme.

The benefits under this Scheme shall take precedence over any other benefit scheme for the same or similar purpose or for medical treatment of the Central Government or the State Government or UT Administration.

Those victims whose first hospitalisation takes place after the lapse of 24 hours from the time of accident shall not be considered eligible under the Scheme.

Disbursement of Sale proceeds of NBFCs among depositors Scheme, 2025 Tripura 2025-05-17 Banking and Forex Laws The scheme applies to all depositors holding fixed deposit, recuring deposits or other similar deposit products with the NBFC. This scheme will be activated upon the occurrence of specific events such as liquidation or any situation leading to the sale of NBFCs assets or business. The scheme ensures that the depositors received their rightful share of the proceeds as per their priority and in line with statutory

requirements.

Ladakh Official Languages Regulation, 2025 Ladakh Yet to be notified Regulatory Laws

With effect from such date as the Administrator may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, the English, Hindi, Urdu, Bhoti and Purgi languages shall be the official languages to be used for all or any of the official purposes of the Union territory:

Provided that the English language shall continue to be used for all the official purposes of the Union territory for which it was being used before the date of commencement of this Regulation.
